When creating a theme, you can choose how your learners will navigate the lesson and what the navigation elements will look like.

Navigation type
This option allows you to select how the learners will navigate through the lesson.
You can select either slides or scrolling;
- Slides allow learners to select back and next navigation buttons, to move between each slide or block.
- Scrolling allows learners to navigate from top to bottom through the lesson by scrolling with their mouse or keyboard.

Navigation style
The navigation style option allows you to select a consistent style for your navigation buttons, headers and footers of your lesson.
The navigation buttons are:
- For slide type themes
- Back and next
- Menu button
- Save and exit
- Block audio
- For scrolling type themes
- Menu button
- Back to top
- Back to home
- and page indicators
Select your navigation style
- Navigate to your theme designer editor page
- Select the ‘General’ drop down
- Select the ‘Navigation style’ dropdown
- Select an option; Contemporary, Modern, Minimalist of Classic
⭐ Tip: If you don’t know which style to choose, we recommend selecting each one and using the preview panel to the right to find your perfect match. Classic is our favorite as the navigational items are named for simplicity and accessibility compliance.
