Theme designer allows you to designate specific colours for over 20 different interface options, such as buttons, text and feedback.

Adding your colours
Each setting controls a different component you will find reused throughout your learning object.
For non-professional plans:
- First select the colour library.
- Select a preset to apply background, text and link colours to your theme.
- Configure additional colour settings, to add navigation and interface colors.
For additional colour options, upgrade to Professional to unlock the full version of theme designer.
Selecting theme colours
You can select individual colours for over 20 different elements for your learning objects.
To select colours for your theme:
- Select Colors from the left-hand styling options to expand the colour menu.
- Select Interface, Blocks, Components or Feedback to expand further colour option menus.
- Select the aligned colour circles next to the element names to open the color selection panel.
- Use the options in the color selection panel to designate your desired colours.
Finding and understanding the colour library
To find the colour library:
- Create or open a theme in theme designer.
- Select Colors from the left-hand styling options to expand the colour menu.
- Select the Color library button.
The colour library is split into two sections: Custom, and Presets.
Custom colours are schemes that you have saved from previous projects.
Presets are a range of schemes designed by HowToo for quick use.
Select any scheme in the color library to preview it. Then select Apply to instantly apply it to your theme.
❗️ Note: Applying a preset from the color library will override any unsaved colour selections in your open theme.
Saving and using color presets

20+ colours are a lot to keep track of! Once you have selected your theme colours, you can save your selection as a preset to use and tweak for future themes.
To save a selection of colours as a preset:
- Select the range of colours you wish to use for your preset.
- Select Save as preset from the bottom of the Colors selection menu.
