The general settings in theme designer allow you to select from a range of navigation and block styles, as well as a logo and transition type.

Navigation styling
Navigation styling refers to the appearance of the components that appear in the top and bottom navigation bars of your learning objects.
You can choose from three different navigation styles:
- Contemporary; featuring round icons.
- Modern; featuring square icons, and 'Back' and 'Next' text.
- Minimalist; featuring small, discreet icons.
To select a navigation style, simply select General from the the left-hand styling options, then select an option from the Navigation styling drop-down menu.
Block styling
Block styling refers to the appearance of components that appear inside the blocks, such as buttons, carousels and audio snippets.
You can choose from four different block styles:
- Square; featuring sharp corners and lines.
- Minimal, featuring softly rounded corners and discreet icons.
- Rounded; featuring emphasised rounded corners.
- Pill; featuring pill-shaped buttons and heavily rounded corners.
To select a block style, simply select General from the the left-hand styling options, then select an option from the Block styling drop-down menu.
Uploading a logo
You can upload a logo to automatically apply it to the top left-hand corner of every block in your learning object.
The recommended dimensions for logos are 40px x 200px.
The maximum accepted file size is 500kb.
The accepted file types are JPEG and PNG.
To upload a logo, simply select General from the the left-hand styling options, then select Upload file here and choose your file from your device.
Transition types
Transition types refer to the momentary animations that move one block to the next as the learner progresses.
You can choose to have no animation, or choose from either a Smooth style, or Energetic style.
To select a block style, simply select General from the the left-hand styling options, then select an option from the Transitions drop-down menu.
