How do I use learning outcomes?

The first step in designing a new learning object is to confirm or write your learning outcome.

A learning outcome describes what your learner needs to be able to do after completing the learning experience.

Add your learning outcomes to your course

Learning outcomes should be added to the one of the first few blocks of any learning object. This allows learners to engage with the course and provides them with a roadmap for the learning experience.

1. Navigate to the storyboard view of your learning object.
2. Select Add new block .
3. Select a text block.
4. Add your learning outcomes to this block by typing out each learning outcome in the text box provided.

Record your learning outcomes in settings

Add your learning outcomes to each learning object, for future reference

1. Navigate to the storyboard view of your learning object.
2. Select Settings from the top right-hand of the view.
3. Under Outcomes, use the text-entry box to record your learning outcomes.
4. Select Add
