Multi-topic learning objects are one of two structures for learning objects in How Too. Multi-topic learning objects are defined by their branching, non-linear structure, rather than the linear structure of single topic learning objects. The branching structure of complex templates make them ideal for learning objects with several topics.

At the centre sits the home page. This is the heart of the learning object. It's the first page a learner will see, and they will return to it multiple times as they navigate through the learning object. It cannot be deleted, as it is critical to the functioning of the object.
In the editor view of the Home Page, you will see automatically-generated tiles that correspond to the branching sections of the Learning Object. Selecting a tile will take the learner to the beginning of the section where they can navigate through the topic. When they reach the final block of the section, navigating forward will automatically return the learner to the home page where they may select the next section. To observe this process, preview the learning object and navigate as a learner would.
To create multi-topic learning object:
1. Navigate to your learning object library.
2. Roll your mouse over the 'New learning object' block under 'Start from Scratch'
3. Select 'Multi-topic'.
