Depending on your plan type, users can be assigned different roles that grant varying levels of permissions and access to HowToo.
There are four types of roles: Learners, Creators, Admins, and Primary Admins.

Learner permissions
Learner users are available on Growth and Professional plans, or by purchasing the learner add-on in Creator plans.
Learners can access the ‘Learn’ platform and complete learning available to them. They cannot create learning objects or manage accounts.
Learners can:
- View and complete learning objects that have been distributed to them.
- Manage and update their profile.
Creator permissions
Creator users are available on all plans.
Creators are responsible for creating learning objects on our platform.
Creators can:
- View and complete learning objects that have been distributed to them.
- View, create and delete draft learning objects.
- Manage and add media
- View and use templates and unlocked Ready-to-go modules
- Create themes
- Add and resolve comments.
Creator and Professional
- Publish learning objects
Growth, Professional or with Creator Add-on
- Publish to Learner Academy
- All learner permissions
Admin permissions
Admins are available on all plans. They have full access to all the features, besides billing and subscription details.
Admins can:
- Everything available to Creators, plus
- Access and manage dashboard
- Add and manage users
- Allocate learner, creator or admin roles to users
Growth, Professional or with Creator Add-on
- View reports on learner progress
- Customise Learner Academy
Primary admin permissions
Primary admins are available on all plans.
Primary admins have complete control over a HowToo account, including access to billing.
Primary admins can:
- Everything available to admins
- Manage and amend billing information
- Manage, amend and cancel subscription
- Manage and add seats
- Allocate the primary admin role to users
