The admin dashboard displays your account details, seat allocation and account preferences. You can also manage users, view and administer lessons, and view learner and learning reports.

Understanding the dashboard layout
To access the admin dashboard, select the Settings icon from the top navigation bar and select “Admin Dashboard”.
On the left of the dashboard is your sidebar navigation.
From the dashboard you can quickly view:
- Account details including your company name, the account url and your current plan
- Seat allocations for learners and creators default settings for all your lessons
- Quick links to manage users or find some help
Account details
Your account details are populated automatically when your account is created. If you would like to update these details please contact us.
Update Company name
To update Company Name:
1. Navigate to Settings: Click on 'Settings' in the top navigation bar, then select 'Dashboard'.
2. Update Company Name: Find the section labeled 'Company Name'. Click 'Change', enter the new
new company name, and then click 'Update'.
Update site URL
To update your company URL:
- Navigate to Settings: Select 'Settings' in the top navigation bar, then select 'Dashboard'.
- Change company URL: Navigate to "Account" and next to "Company URL" select "Change".
- Update URL: Enter your new company URL and select "Update".
- Your site URL has been updated.
IMPORTANT: Remember to inform your team of the new company URL as this URL is used to login and access your HowToo account.
If you can't remember or forget your company URL you can request a reminder email here.
Seat allocation
Your seat allocation details the total number of seats you have purchased as part of your subscription and the number of active users who are currently occupying a seat. If you have available seats you can add users.
Preferences
These are your default preferences for all lessons created in your account
⭐ Tip: You can update this directly from the Admin dashboard which makes it easy to apply a new theme if your branding or requirements change.
In preferences, you can:
- Apply a default theme (link to themes article). We’d recommend a really clear naming convention for your themes so it’s easy for you to find the one that you want to apply.
- Make all new lessons either locked or unlocked. Unless there’s a specific reason to lock them by default, we find it saves time and trouble to have them ‘unlocked’ from the start so that another creator or admin can find and edit the lesson if required.
❗️ Note: Changing the default theme does not change previously published or existing lessons. It will only apply to a new lesson created after you change the default.
- Choose whether you can show HowToo branding
❗️ Note: HowToo branding can only be removed on our paid plans
To Enable AI Features:
1. Navigate to Settings: Click on 'Settings' in the top navigation bar, then select 'Dashboard'.
2. Account Preferences: Find the option for Account Preferences and toggle "Enable AI features for
all users" to "Yes"
