If your lesson is quite large, you may notice:

This guide will help you reduce these issues and keep your content running efficiently.
What is considered as a large lesson
A large lesson will generate a file 5GB or larger.
Reduce the size of your lesson
Videos, audio and images are the largest contributors to lesson file size, and have a significant impact on HowToo's ability to publish your lesson.
Tips for reducing your lesson size:
- If you have large videos, try embedding them instead of uploading them.
- If you have large images, try using PNG files and compressing them.
- Considering breaking your large lesson into several smaller lessons. This also helps avoid cognitive overload for your learners.
Export a large lesson
If you're really committed to exporting your lesson as a large file, try the following steps:
- 'Export' your lesson. This may take some time. You can close the page or your laptop while the export continues in the background
- Return to your account later and go to your 'Export history'.
- Locate your exported lesson and download the file.
❗️ Note: Even if you are able to successfully export and download your large lesson, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to upload it to your LMS or LXP of choice, and you may need to contact the relevant support for that platform.
