Preview lessons

Previewing a lesson allows you to view the lesson as it will appear to a learner.

Who can use this feature?

This guide shows you how to preview your lesson to check how it looks for your learners.

Preview from the beginning of the lesson

1. Navigate to the storyboard view of your lesson.
2. Select the 'Preview' button in the top right menu.

 ❗️ Note: Previewing in this way will open a new tab in your browser.

Preview starting from a specific block

1. Navigate to the storyboard view of your lesson.
2. Select the three-dot menu in the top right-hand corner of a block tile. 
3. Select 'Preview' from the drop-down.

To exit back to the storyboard view

Select the '<' button in the top left-hand of the screen to return to the storyboard view.

Preview from the editor view of a block

1. Navigate to the editor view of your lesson.
2. Select the crossed eye button in the top right-hand of the screen.

 ❗️ Note: Previewing in this way will not open a new tab in your browser.

To exit back to the editor view

Select the Open in editor button in the top right-hand of the screen to return to the editor view.

Preview lesson on different screen sizes

All blocks can be previewed as they would appear for learners on standard screen sizes.

Block layouts are automatically rearranged for learners according the detected screen size.

1. Navigate to either the preview or editor view of your lesson.
2. Select the different screen buttons at the top of the view to toggle between previews of each screen size
