Course re-allocation allows you to automatically assign a course again after a period of time or on a fixed date.
To re-allocate after completion:
- In the 'Setup course' section, go to the 'Automation' tab.
- Go to the 'Course re-allocation' section, then tick 'Auto re-allocate this course'.
- Set how many years or months after completion the course should be re-allocated.
When choosing this option, the learner's progress will reset to not started and they will need to complete the course again. This is commonly used for compliance training.
To re-allocate on a fixed date:
- In the 'Setup course' section, go to the 'Automation' tab
- Go to the 'Course re-allocation' section, then tick 'Auto re-allocate this course'.
- Select 'On a fixed date'.
- Use the calendar to set the re-allocation date.
When choosing this option, the course is reassigned to learners on the set date regardless of their progress or completion status.
To notify learners on re-allocation:
- In the 'Setup course' section, go to the 'Automation' tab
- Go to the 'Course re-allocation' section, then tick 'Auto re-allocate this course'.
- Tick 'Notify learners via email on re-allocation'.
When enabled, learners will receive an email informing them that the course has been assigned again.
❗️ Note:
- Re-allocating a course resets the learner’s completion status.
- Re-allocating a course after a year usually applies to completed learners. When a fixed date is selected, it applies to all learners, even those in progress.
