Give feedback to learners on questions

Question blocks give you the option to provide feedback messages on the answers your learners submit to the questions.

Feedback messages can be written as responses to correct answers and incorrect answers.

Learners must submit all elements of an answer correctly to receive the 'correct' feedback response.

Learners that submit partially or completely incorrect answers will receive the 'incorrect' feedback response.

You cannot write correct/incorrect feedback for text entry or rating scale blocks as they are not question blocks. Only a single, generic feedback message can be given.

To edit multiple choice question feedback:

1. Navigate to the editor view of your multiple choice block.
2. Select the multiple choice section of the block.
3. In the left-hand sidebar, select the Feedback drop-down to view the feedback panels.
4. Select the text in the feedback panels to edit the feedback messages.
5. In the left-hand sidebar, toggle between Correct and Incorrect to view and edit each message.

To edit drag and drop question feedback:

1. Navigate to the editor view of your drag and drop block.
2. Select the drag and drop section of the block.
3. In the left-hand sidebar, select the Feedback drop-down to view the feedback panels.
4. Select the text in the feedback panels to edit the feedback messages.
5. In the left-hand sidebar, toggle between Correct and Incorrect to view and edit each message.

To edit rearrange question feedback:

1. Navigate to the editor view of your rearrange block.
2. Select the rearrange section of the block.
3. In the left-hand sidebar, select the Feedback drop-down to view the feedback panels.
4. Select the text in the feedback panels to edit the feedback messages.
5. In the left-hand sidebar, toggle between Correct and Incorrect to view and edit each message.

To edit true and false question feedback:

1. Navigate to the editor view of your true and false block.
2. Select the true and false section of the block.
3. In the left-hand sidebar, select the Feedback drop-down to view the feedback panels.
4. Select the text in the feedback panels to edit the feedback messages.
5. In the left-hand sidebar, toggle between Correct and Incorrect to view and edit each message.
