Add a theme to a lesson

You can apply a theme to your lesson to control its branding, layout, and visual style.

Here’s how to apply a theme:

1. Open your lesson to view the storyboard view and settings options
2. Select ‘settings’ from the top navigation bar
3. Select the ‘branding’ tab to view all your published themes
4. Hover over the theme you would like to use, and select ‘Use’.

The theme you’ve selected will now be indicated with the blue tick. 

 ⭐ Tip: You can also preview the theme first, to view how a theme will look like on your selected lesson just to make sure it's the right fit.

Legacy themes

Legacy themes are themes created before the Theme designer was introduced.

• When to use a legacy theme?
  Use a legacy theme if you are working with an older lesson that you do not want to update.
• When to update to latest themes?
  Update to a new theme if you want access to the latest HowToo features and improvements.
• How to update a legacy theme?
  Create a copy of the lesson, then apply a new theme.
