Accordion blocks

Accordions are an interactive block that help you organize content into expandable sections, making it easy to present subtopics or FAQs clearly.

This guide shows you how to create and manage accordion blocks effectively.

Create an accordion block

1. Navigate to the storyboard view of your lesson.
2. Select 'Add new block'
3. Select the 'Interaction' drop-down in the left-hand sidebar.
4. Select 'Accordion'. The library will display available block layouts that include accordions. 
5. Select 'Preview' to view the block layout without creating it.
6. Select 'Choose block' to finalize your choice.

Add text and images to accordion items

1. Navigate to the editor view of your accordion block.
2. Select the accordion section of the block.
3. Select the headings directly to edit the headings.
4. Select the down arrow next to each heading to expand the fold.
5. Select the text or image to edit them.

Switch between text, and text & image style accordions

1. Navigate to the editor view of your accordion block.
2. Select the accordion section of the block.
3. In the left-hand sidebar, select the drop-down under 'Accordion Type' and select your preferred format.

Add new accordion items

1. Navigate to the editor view of your accordion block.
2. Select the accordion section of the block.
3. Roll your mouse over over the existing accordion pieces.
4. Select one of the blue '+' buttons.

Rearrange the order of the accordion items

1. Navigate to the editor view of your accordion block.
2. Select the accordion section of the block.
3. In the left-hand sidebar select the heading you wish to move.
4. Drag it up or down the sidebar to rearrange it's position and drop it into place.

Delete or duplicate an accordion item

1. Navigate to the editor view of your accordion block.
2. Select the accordion section of the block.
3. In the left-hand sidebar select the three vertical dots button next to the heading you wish to delete or duplicate.
4. Select 'Delete' or 'Duplicate' from the drop-down.
