Video blocks

Video is a type of media block.

They are great for sharing videos. They are a great way to introduce your content as they present your content in a fun and visual way.

There are several different kinds of video blocks, including text-based, multi-column videos, and even multi-choice video blocks.

To create a video block:

1. Navigate to the storyboard view of your lesson.
2. Select 'Add new block'
3. Select the 'Media' drop-down in the left-hand sidebar.
4. Select 'Video'. The library will display available block layouts that include video.
5. Select 'Preview' to view the block layout without creating it.
6. Select 'Choose block' to finalize your choice.

To add a video to this page:

1. Navigate to the editor view, by selecting "Edit block".
2. Select the video element on the page. This will display different options in the left-hand editor panel.
3. Select the 'X' icon to remove the default video.
4. Choose to browse the media library or upload a video from your files.

⭐ Tip: You can also choose to link to a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. This can be a better option for larger videos.

Optional:

• You can also upload a poster image. This image will be used when the page is first loaded.
• We recommend also uploading closed captions to ensure your training meets accessibility guidelines.
