Video is a type of media block. Use this to present your content in a fun and visual way.

You can choose from a range of video block types, including text-based, multi-column, and multiple choice video, to create more engaging learning experiences.

This guide shows you how to create and use video blocks effectively.

Create a video block

1. Navigate to the storyboard view of your lesson.
2. Select 'Add new block'
3. Select the 'Media' drop-down in the left-hand sidebar.
4. Select 'Video'. The library will display available block layouts that include video.
5. Select 'Preview' to view the block layout without creating it.
6. Select 'Choose block' to finalize your choice.

Add video to the block

1. Navigate to the editor view, by selecting "Edit block".
2. Select the video element on the page. This will display different options in the left-hand editor panel.
3. Select the 'X' icon to remove the default video.
4. Choose to browse the media library or upload a video from your files.

 ⭐ Tip: You can also choose to link to a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. This can be a better option for larger videos.

Optionally, you can upload a poster image. This image will be used when the page is first loaded. We also recommend uploading closed captions to ensure your training meets accessibility guidelines.
